Seriously, everyone. This is starting to really exasperate me.
It is extremely rude to point out the sex of a person.
Perhaps someone is transgender-male and they mention something about their gender or themselves that 'females' wouldn't do. Do not, I repeat, do not tell them that they are female and that is wrong/disgusting/bad.
Perhaps someone is gender-neutral and they mention something about being no gender at all. Do not point out that they are wrong and are fe/male.
Guys, just stop it. I've had a friend turn from being happy and full-of-life, to being a depressed and broken kid because they aren't the person they feel like on the inside and everyone is pestering them constantly about being a certain sex, and not being what he really feels like. They told them that they just need to get over it, and to 'suck it up'. It's not that. simple. Most people don't understand this kind of feeling unless they have been through it themselves.
This is a condition in which a person feels very uncomfortable and/or unsatisfied with their current sex. Most of the time, being reminded of their biological gender can lead them to intense depression. It's not in their control that they were born under a body that makes them feel absolutely horrible. Being transgender, which is most of the time the reason gender dysphoria is developed, can be serious. It's not like they're just saying "I'm fe/male" because they want to, it's because they truly, one hundred percent feel like the opposing gender.
Now, I will not be playing around with this anymore and letting things like this slide. It IS harassment to point out someone's sex or to constantly refuse the usage of their pronouns/gender uses.
If I see anyone doing this again in the chat, I am going to kick them. I am not going to stand for this mistreatment anymore.
Thank you, and have a nice day.
Sincerely, Alex (SketchNebula)
